Pathetic-but who cares?

There were all the lonely people
in the middle of the street
oozing vile from unredeemed holes
among tears of soot and dirt

she laid there in utter darkness
watching from afar her kids
is her soul lost in the shadows
encased in a faulty ship ?

roads asunder in million vessels
memories and incarnations
repetitions of self and truth
Yet do you truly give a damn?

spirits raise the wind in voices
through yellow liquid eyes
protecting from abandonment
loved ones that were left behind

one last time someone caresses her
a broken smile in her semblance
vestiges of does who never learned to laugh
finally, in my mind, the morning dew awakens her
(and this is how I can say goodbye!)
